Jobvetta helps people discover jobs in India and, when they choose, manage applications. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Search queries, locations, filters, job views, and basic device or diagnostic information.
- When you sign in with Google or a passwordless email link: your Firebase account identifier, email address, and profile information made available under the displayed permissions.
- Information you submit, such as your profile, resume, work history, application answers, saved jobs, and application activity.
- Messages you send to our support address.
How we use information
We use information to operate search, maintain your account, preserve your chosen return page after sign-in, provide application tools, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, measure service performance, and communicate with you about your account or requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use resumes or application answers to train public generative-AI models.
Authentication
Firebase Authentication verifies Google and passwordless email-link users; Jobvetta does not receive your Google password or email-account password. Google sign-in currently requests only basic identity and email information. If a future feature needs additional permissions, it will request them separately and explain why before you grant access.
Job applications and official sources
When you ask Jobvetta to open or assist with an application, information may be sent to the employer or its applicant-tracking provider. Their privacy practices then apply to the information they receive. Job listings may also link to official employer websites outside Jobvetta.
Service providers and transfers
We use infrastructure, identity, email, storage, search, security, and monitoring providers to run Jobvetta. These providers process information for us under their applicable terms. Because internet services use distributed infrastructure, information may be processed outside your state or country, with safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law.
Cookies, security, and retention
We use essential browser storage for authentication and an httpOnly cookie for secure Jobvetta sessions. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for service operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Operational logs and deleted-account backups may remain for a limited period.
Your choices and rights
You can search public jobs without signing in. You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information associated with your account, subject to identity verification and applicable law. You can also revoke Jobvetta access from your Google account settings.
Children
Jobvetta is intended for people legally able to seek employment and is not directed to children under 18. Please do not submit a child’s personal information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Jobvetta changes. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date. Questions and privacy requests can be sent through our contact page or to support@jobvetta.com.
